Faith Baptist Church

Faith Baptist Church Regents Park

PROJECT BRIEF

Construct a new multi-purpose facility for the Faith Baptist Church at Regents Park

PROJECT TYPE

Construction

DURATION

14 Months

VALUE

$5.8 million

The Project

Maincom was engaged to construct a new multi-purpose hall, indoor sports facility, computer skills centre, music rooms, commercial kitchen, administration offices and retail outlet.

Key Challenges

  • Managing evolving client and site requirements whilst maintaining the program and budget.
  • Liaising and communicating with all stakeholders including the local community.

The Maincom Touch

Our client requested a curved corrugated ceiling for the entry foyer. Maincom researched several design alternatives and proposed a lightweight sandwich panel system that delivered on both the design and structural requirements.

Maincom also provided input into the design for the indoor sporting facility floorings. Our solution of a multi-purpose vinyl floor covering met our client’s sporting and function requirements.

Housing NSW

Housing NSW Bransgrove Road Revesby

Project Brief

Design and construct a modern senior citizens precinct including units, community centre, civil infrastructure, retaining walls and landscaping

Project Type

Design and Construction

DURATION

14 Months

VALUE

$10.9 million

The Project

Design and construction of 42 senior citizens living units, incorporating nine two-storey and three single-storey buildings, a single storey community centre, civil infrastructure, retaining walls and landscaping.

Key Challenges

  • Incorporating our client’s design requirements into the construction package while keeping to budget and site constraints.
  • Redesigning the development to achieve BCA Compliance and ensuring that all required facilities and services were delivered.

The Maincom Touch

Taking a holistic approach to the project, Maincom considered the intent, design brief and future maintenance of the development. We implemented initiatives to reduce construction and future maintenance costs, such as relocating the development’s hot water systems and negating the need for additional thermostatic mixing valves to reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
